Mixed State of Readiness for New Cybersecurity Regulations in Europe

New European Community (EC) laws governing data protection set to be implemented in the next two to three years will have a fundamental impact on the way that most organisations in European Union (EU) member states implement security policies and report breaches.

A survey conducted by IDG Connect on behalf of FireEye show the majority of those in France, Germany and the UK still have work to do in implementing sufficient security measures to meet new requirements mandated by new EU Networking and Information Security (NIS) and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) which will come into force in the next two to three years.
