We understand that finding senior talent that is capable of successfully navigating today’s constantly evolving business landscape is challenging. Hawker Chase is an executive search consultancy, placing C-suite and director-level candidates within the global defence, cyber, manufacturing and engineering sectors.
Through our broad range of executive solutions, we help organisations to mitigate risk, increase retention, and reduce the cost and time of making critical hires in their leadership and senior management teams.
Our consultants partner with clients on a consultative, project basis to deliver strategic solutions specific to their needs.
With a depth of market access and knowledge developed through our diverse global networks, we give our clients true market insight and access to the best talent in complex and fast-moving markets.
We work closely with clients on senior executive and non-executive appointments, supporting single hires, succession planning, teams, change management, growth strategies and business introductions across cyber, defence, engineering and manufacturing.
Executive search is at the core of everything we do. We have a strong track record, working in partnership with our clients, building a comprehensive understanding of their corporate culture and strategic objectives.
Our methodologies are not prescriptive and we tailor the approach to suit each client’s needs. From full market intelligence and research or straight to a focused shortlist dependent on individual needs, speed and requirement of the client.
Our extensive networks and sector knowledge give us the access to bring the best talent to your business. As specialists we are known within our market segments accessing both your competitors and clients to source the best talent.
Where traditional search is engaged on a reactive basis Hawker Chase looks to provide clients with a more strategic and proactive approach to senior hiring assessing future needs and building proactive solutions to minimise business risk.
In the course of our business we often come across interesting individuals and smaller companies that can complement our existing client’s activities. Where this occurs we can effect corporate and personal introductions which often result in JVs or even acquisitions.
Hawker Chase have access to senior individuals with a wealth of experience gained in industry, the Military and Government. This can add significant value on an advisory or Non-Executive basis bringing corporate, strategic, product or customer experience you your business, where a full time employee would be expensive and unnecessary. Where a breadth of experience and skills are required we can build a senior talent pool of skills for your business to draw on.
Interim Executives are key in order to provide businesses the ability to scale up whether it is to add specific technical or program expertise or to augment existing teams for specific tasks in areas such as bid writing, strategic reviews or ‘turn around’. We have a talent pool of highly qualified individuals to bring to bear.
Corporate & Market Intelligence underpins everything we do, combining detailed mapping with analysis and context to ensure our clients are equipped to make informed decisions.
We offer clients executive coaching and assessment services through our partner Pellham Street as a standalone service or in conjunction with our executive search process. Pelham Street develops trusted relationships with senior leaders providing objective independent advice and counsel, designed to support Leaders assessing final candidates and even providing ‘Integration Coaching’ to support a hire.
Each week we compile a digest of the key stories that effect our core industry groups. There are many news letters that have a US focus so we try to concentrate on stories that have relevance to our geographic region or are of strategic importance. We understand that to add true value to our clients we have to provide more than an Executive search, embedding ourselves in our target market place, helping to promote talent and provoke debate. We build communities, bringing together professionals at all levels to allow the continued education, access and opportunities for all levels from apprentice to future leaders in order to fully serve and understand the markets in which we operate.
In conjunction with our sister company Optamor’s QI Group, we bring market leaders to share and provoke thoughts and conversation around specific industry issues, producing white papers to further promote debate. These events are aimed at Executive and non-Executive leaderships as well as HR Directors and industry specialists to understand the strategic and tactical pressures within the industries.

Hawker Chase are committed to working with our clients to find and develop future talent rather than just filling positions on a reactive basis. That’s why we are developing the HC Future Leaders forum. This is designed to identify and develop talent that is currently in ‘line’ positions and prepare them for management by bringing them together on a regular basis to hear from industry leaders, Head hunters and coaches with the aim of preparing them to make a successful transition into management.

Given the unprecedented growth in the cyber market there is a lack of talent across the industry. Hawker Chase are actively working with Government agencies, Academic Partners and accreditation authorities to establish academic courses to help further develop and diversify the pool of available talent. This takes the form of a Cyber Conversion Course – taking technology professionals, technical service leavers and graduates, giving them the requisite skills and training to transition into the cyber market. This is a significant project that involves many moving parts and we will update on progress regularly.

There is a constant demand for diversity in every industry group and cyber is no different. However given the nature of the threat the need for a differing view point on a number of issues is not only desirable but essential. Our belief is that women form one part of the diversity agenda but it is an essential part and our aim is to bring women within the industry together to share views, hear from industry experts and make each other aware of the challenges and opportunities out there in this exciting and fast moving environment.
